Do you know that you can use your company email address for Google service, like Google Analytics. Apparently you can do so quite easily.
In the new account creation screen below, click on "I prefer to use my current email address".
Then you can just type in your company email. It is basially just an alias, so it is as good as with any other Google accounts.
Now enjoy your new gmail address with your company name!
Have you even wondered how the sessions are defined in Google Analytics. Here is the answer:
A seesion starts when a visitor views the first page of your website and ends when one of the following three conditions is met as defined by Google Analytics:
- 30 minutes has elapsed without visitor activity;
- the session has reached the end of the day (for the time zone defined in Google Analytics);
- or the same visitor returns to the website but with new referral parameters. For example, a visitor first arrives at your website via an organic search, closes their browser, then returns (within 30 minutes) via a click on a banner link. The detection of the second visit with the new campaign parameters closes the first session and begins a new one for this visitor.
The session time-out value can be adjusted, though 30 minutes is the unwritten industry standard.
I am trying to uninstall a program from my computer, but the computer is asking for the orignal MSI file. I have lost the file, what do do?
I turned to my good friend Google and find a solution at Microsoft Site. It fixed my problem, hope it will help you. Just download the program, run it and select the program you want to uninstall. It is that easy!
Just watched a nice video about Fluid Design on CodeSchool , it is explained so well that even I can understand :-)
Check it out ...
I have been working with Google Analytics for a while. I am amzed how much information it is providing by just add the basic tracking code.
The example below shows the Vistor Flow view, it shows you where the users enter your site and the interactions. Best of all, it is free, so start using it for your site!
It seems this is the most popular post I have here
Apparently, people like step by step instructions!
Google Analytics has becoming more and more popoular since it is free. One issue I am facing is how to track the same page with multiple accounts. It is happy often than you might think. For example, your department is responsible for part of the site and is tracking with one account. Your company also wants to track the same page, but with a different account.
Aparently, there is a solution. Good job, Google!
New year, new look!
I just added a language selector using Google Translate, so you can read in your own language!
I bought this Mini Router on the plane. It turns your network connection instantly to a WiFi network without configuration! It is very convient for travel, and weight 20g.
There are many modes of operation, which supposed can be a repeater as well for your WiFi network, but I have never be able to make it work. The documentation is pretty poorly written. I am checking both the English and Chinese version and still can't figure out what is the meaning. And the English version is different with the Chinese version!
5 stars for the product and 1 star for the documentation!
I just came across this site: Brython
